Make your Hands Look Younger

The way people pinpoint your age is by looking at your hands. Your hands are one of the most expressive (and used) parts of your body. Here are ways to protect and keep your hands from looking their age.

  • Washing your hands too much causes cracking and drying. After every wash, be sure to use a moisturizer. Coat your hand with moisturizer and if that isn't enough, sleep with moisturizer on your hands and protect them with gloves.
  • Be sure to put sunscreen on your hands before you go outside and after you put sunscreen on your face. Protect your hands from sunspots and wrinkles. Yes, you hands do wrinkle so start putting on sunscreen today.
  • Hydrating the body keep the skin supple--this includes the fine layer of skin cover your hands. Be sure to drink half your body weight in ounces (for a 130 pound woman, 65 ounces of water).
  • Invest in anti-aging treatments such as a microdermabrasion for your hands. Also try vitamin-fortified hand creams which will boost up your skin's intake of nutrients to make them look younger and smoother.

Tips & Warnings

If in the sun, make sure to reapply sunblock/suncreen to your hands every thirty minute. Do not overexpose your hands to the sun.
