Care for the dry hair

How do you manage dry, frizzy hair that have a tangled look and is unmanageable? You can try out the following tips on dry hair care that will nourish and soften your hair and give it luster and bounce. You should remember that dry hair needs intensive moisturizing and nourishment since the severest problem is insufficient oil secretions from the sebaceous glands that lead to the rough, brittle conditions.

Care for Dry Hair

  • Massage your hair with olive or almond oil to get rid of dry hair problems.
  • Massage your hair with a combination of gram flour and coconut milk.
  • Protect your hair from the Ultra Violet rays of the sun. Wear a hat when you go out in the sun or use a conditioner that contains sunscreen.
  • Do not blow dry your hair or use curling irons on a frequent basis. These tend to dry out the already brittle hair.
  • Prepare a conditioner by mixing cider vinegar, castor oil, glycerin and a small amount of mild herbal shampoo.
  • Treat your hair to a hot oil massage comprising of coconut and lavender oil. Leave on overnight.
  • Do not use hair sprays to style your hair. You can use cream conditioners instead.
  • Mix coconut and castor oil in equal quantities and apply to your hair. Follow up with turban therapy.
  • It is good to desist from too much of hair perming and coloring of your hair. These tend to strip the hair and scalp off its normal moisture balance.
  • Consume a diet that is rich in mineral zincs and fatty acids. Zinc deficiency is one of the main causes of dry hair.
  • Use shampoos and conditioners that are rich in humectants and are suitable for dry hair.
  • Drink lots of water to keep dryness at bay.
